311 - Using TikTok to Bridge Together Students and Mosquito Control

The Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District’s (GLACVCD/District) Education Program strives to raise awareness about mosquitoes and the threat they pose to public health among students in the Greater Los Angeles area. The Education Program Coordinators (EPCs) use TikTok to connect, educate, and engage with their students beyond the classroom. The EPCs have used a variety of tactics from regularly posting on TikTok, creating relatable content, using trendy music/sounds, hashtags, and branding to create a successful TikTok account.
