Kristina Lopez received her PhD in entomology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2023. Her dissertation work focused on evaluating the effectiveness of adulticide spraying and insecticide resistance management in collaboration with the Northwest Mosquito Abatement District. She is currently a postdoctoral research associate with the Midwest Center of Excellence for Vector-Borne Diseases and the North Shore Mosquito Abatement District, expanding her work on adulticide efficacy and delving into larvicide resistance and tick control.
